Richmond, BC (June 13, 2019) – Richard Laurendeau of RE/MAX Westcoast in Richmond, BC, is pleased to announce Megan Estrada of Hugh Boyd Secondary School is one of the sixteen students chosen from Western Canada to receive the RE/MAX 2019 ‘Quest for Excellence’ bursary valued at $1,000.

The annual RE/MAX Quest for Excellence program encourages graduating students from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon and Northwest Territories to submit an essay detailing the contributions they have made to their communities. The bursary winners have all demonstrated exceptional motivation, leadership, and communication skills.

Before the year is over, we want to announce that our 3 RE/MAX offices: Westcoast, Select Properties and Select Realty raised a total of $22,000 with $17,000 going to BCCHF, our CMN partner and $5000 to this year’s spotlight charity, BCMHA. This was accomplished by our Fundraiser Committee made up of agents, who volunteered their time and efforts for the Big Give 2018 Golf Tournament and BBQ Dinner. Huge thank you to our sponsors and those who made donations to our silent and live auctions.

I still can’t believe this…found out I’m in the top 100 for RE/MAX Western Canada in the category of Residential-Individuals MTD for March 2018 from BC to Manitoba. I had set specific goals in the last 2 yrs & 4 months when I decided go on my own after learning exponentially from 2 different top producing teams in our office for combined 8 yrs. This particular achievement, whether MTD or YTD, was never in my sights. I’m grateful to my mentors, professional and personal coaches, friends, my kids for being my cheerleaders and my managing broker husband. Most of all, thank you to my clients, some of you who I have not even met in person. Thank you for your unconditional trust, the friendships and business relationships that we have developed by working together. Thank you for the privilege of working with you to assist you, in achieving your goals.

Our fundraising committee from our 3 RE/MAX offices – Select Properties, Select Realty and Westcoast helped raise over $20,000 for Children’s Miracle Network CMN for our local BC Children’s Hospital Foundaton BCCHF thanks to our agents, admin staff, mortgage affiliates and esp. to our generous donors and sponsors of our golf tourney, silent and live auctions! We could not have done this without you all!

On July 26, agents from sister offices: RE/MAX Select Properties, RE/MAX Westcoast and RE/MAX Select Realty, will come together to host “The Big Give” Golf & BBQ with optional golf tournament at UBC Golf Course and the RE/MAX summer BBQ at Brock House in support of BC Children’s Hospital through the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN).

Collectively in 2016, we raised $25,000 with our RE/MAX “The Big Give” Beach Party (an increase from the $10,215 raised at the “RE/MAX Select 5K Walk” in 2015), and we hope to surpass that amount with a new goal of $30,000 in 2017.
