RE/MAX Quest for Excellence

The REMAX Quest for Excellence scholarship program is a cash scholarship that recognizes students for their ongoing community contributions and pursuit of leadership. Through this scholarship program, REMAX Canada is pleased to offer 40 scholarships of $1,000 each to students across Canada (except for Quebec).

The 2026 Quest for Excellence program will invite eligible students to write and submit an essay based on one of three key themes: charitable community contribution; the vision for a brighter future; and ensuring Canadians have a safe, secure and affordable place to call “home.”

How To Enter:

To apply for the Quest for Excellence scholarship, eligible students are invited to write and submit an online essay that is a minimum of 500 words in length, answering one of the following questions:

  1. What does a “bright future” look like for you?

  2. How have you demonstrated leadership or charity within your community to make it a better place?

  3. How can we ensure fair and affordable housing for all Canadians?

Eligibility

To be eligible, entrants must be a Grade 12 student attending high school in Canada in the September 2025 – June 2026 academic year. Entrants must not have previously participated in a commencement ceremony.

About the RE/MAX Canada Quest for Excellence:

The Quest for Excellence scholarship program is an annual program that started in 2000 in Western Canada. Prior to expanding across Canada, the program awarded $16,000 in scholarships to 16 students in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon Territory and Northwest Territory, in the amount of $1,000 per scholarship. Our RE/MAX Big Give Golf Tournament on Sept 9, 2022 with our 3 offices: RE/MAX Westcoast in Richmond, RE/MAX Select Properties and RE/MAX Select Realty both in Vancouver was a success!  We raised a total of $31,000 with $23,350 for CMN-BC Children’s Hospital Foundation- BCCHF and $7,750 for our spotlight charity, BC Mental Health Foundation – BCMHF.  Thank you to all our sponsors, donors, golfers, agents, all participants and UGC for hosting with a lovely buffet dinner.

RE/MAX Named First Official Real Estate Brokerage Brand of the NBA in Canada

Partnership Marks First in New Category for the NBA in Canada, Will Engage Network of 20,000 Canadian Brokers and Agents

TORONTO, Feb. 16, 2022 – The National Basketball Association (NBA) and RE/MAX, Canada’s largest network of real estate agents, today announced a multiyear agreement that makes RE/MAX and its realtors the Official Real Estate Agents of the NBA in Canada. This marks the league’s first marketing agreement with a real estate brokerage brand and coincides with NBA All-Star 2022 in Cleveland, Ohio during the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Season.

The NBA and RE/MAX will tip-off the multiyear agreement with a national contest giving Canadian fans the chance to win a trip to the 2023 NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City, Utah. Fans can enter the contest at nbacontest.com/allstar.

Beginning this year, the NBA and RE/MAX will launch social media campaigns and leverage new marketing platforms, providing fans and prospective clients with unique opportunities to get closer to the NBA in Canada.

RE/MAX 2022 Quest for Excellence®

The Quest for Excellence program is a bursary program for grade 12 students in Western Canada. It was established by RE/MAX of Western Canada to recognize the success and ongoing pursuits of Western Canadian students in regard to leadership and community contribution initiatives.

What is Awarded?

RE/MAX of Western Canada will award 16 bursaries of $1,000 each to qualifying Grade 12 students. In addition, each award includes a Certificate of Excellence signed by the Regional Executive Vice President of RE/MAX of Western Canada. Winners will be notified in April 2022.

Who Can Participate?

The Quest for Excellence is open to all Grade 12 students attending high school from September 2021 – June 2022. Grade 12 students may not have participated in graduation commencement ceremonies in the past. Applicants must be a resident of one of the following provinces/territories.

  • British Columbia

  • Alberta

  • Saskatchewan

  • Manitoba

  • Yukon Territory

  • Northwest Territory

What is Required?

Students are to convey the contributions they have made to their communities in a short online essay, maximum 1,250 words. Key qualities students should demonstrate are leadership, motivation and communication skills. Other attributes may include volunteering, participation in charitable events or fundraising, and contributions that enrich the lives of others and their communities.
